❗️B-UMS Baseball❗️⚾️ The first baseball flex day of the winter will be this Saturday, 12/7/2024, from 3:00PM-5:00PM in the B-UMS gym. This is open to all current 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at B-UMS. You must bring a copy of your physical, unless you already have one on file at the school for the 2024-2025 school year. If you have any questions, then please reach out to Coach Dylan Poplin at the middle school.

🌟In an exciting showcase of talent and dedication, five exceptional middle school band members from our school were selected to participate in the prestigious Honor Band at West Virginia Wesleyan College. This event, which took place over two and a half days, provided a unique opportunity for these young musicians to work closely with the esteemed conductor Mr. Dave Maccabee, culminating in a spectacular concert on Tuesday evening. 🎶

Mrs. Bennett's eighth grade Wellness classes learned the importance of drug prevention. Students were asked to research a drug and explain the problems with addiction and the health issues that occur when using that drug. Students presented their final project to the class. At B-UMS we are having a Big Buck Contest among our students, here's a picture of the submissions so far!
Congratulations to Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School's own BRAYLEA SQUIRES for being nominated and winning the 2024-2025 WVSSAC Academic Achievement Award for Middle School Female Athletes! She has carried a 4.0 GPA all three years, while also batting .340 as a starting infielder on the softball team and breaking the B-UMS school volleyball record for aces! She will be honored at the WV State Football Playoffs and at a banquet in Charleston. Congrats on the well-deserved and prestigious honor! 🏴☠️

CPR and First Aid to all Wellness classes last week at B-UMS.
CONGRATULATIONS to our B-UMS Volleyball Team for winning 2nd place in the Mid 10 Conference Tournament! After beating East Fairmont and Robert L Bland, they went to three sets against Bridgeport in the championship! Great job, ladies! 🏐🏴☠️
