Rock Cave Elementary

FOR GRADES 3-8 Hello. We are pleased to inform you that you should be able to see your child’s 2025 West Virginia General Summative Assessment results online within 24 hours after completing the ELA, math, or science tests. We are sending home a letter with your child that has the information you need to see their results. Your child has also taken a picture of this letter in case it was lost. If you still need the information, please contact the school and we will provide the web address and your access code. Web address for WVGSA student results https://wv-familyportal.cambiumast.com/

State Testing continues the rest of the week. Third, fourth, and fifth grade parents, please make sure your child goes to bed early, gets a good night's rest, and eats a healthy breakfast. We ask you to avoid picking your child up during planned testing times. Our testing time is 8:30 - 12:00.

Friday, May 16th (Strawberry Festival Friday) will be a 12:45 dismissal. Please plan accordingly! Parent Pick-up will start at 12:45. The school will be holding the Testing Reward on the 16th. Everyone must be present to win.

Report Cards will be coming home today. We had issues with our grading platform. If you have any questions about your child's report card, please reach out to your child's teacher. Our parent/teacher conferences are on Thursday, March 20th. Report cards errors could be discussed during your scheduled conference time. Mrs. Smith

Good afternoon, Picture Day is tomorrow!! No costumes will be permitted before 2:15pm. If he or she arrives in a costume, your child will be asked to change. Please keep costumes school appropriate- no knives or weapons. Our Halloween costume parade will begin at 2:30pm. If you need to help your child with a costume, you will not be permitted in the school before 2:15pm. During the costume parade, parents will watch as the students walk around the outside of the building. Our PTO members will be providing a Trick or Treat experience. Bags will be provided. RCES Remote Learning Plan for Inclement Weather Days

RCES Families, Barn Hill Preserve will be at RCES on Dec. 21st. In order for your child to participate in the activity, we must have a signed copy of the form that was sent home. You do not have to order anything, but you do have to sign and return. A second copy was sent home yesterday. Thank you!

The LSIC meeting scheduled for this evening is canceled. We will reschedule and get a new date out soon. Have a great day!
