Buckhannon, WV — March 2026 Buckhannon‑Upshur Middle School and Buckhannon‑Upshur High School are excited to announce the launch of Smart Mouth Pizza, bringing fresh, restaurant‑quality personal pizzas to students as part of their daily meal options. Smart Mouth’s signature whole‑grain honey‑wheat crust, fresh tomato sauce, and 100% mozzarella cheese offer a high‑quality upgrade to traditional cafeteria pizza.
The Smart Mouth program is designed specifically for schools and includes equipment, on‑site training, and ongoing support to ensure pizzas are prepared fresh each day. Students in grades 6–12 will now have access to the same individualized 7" pizzas served in Smart Mouth programs across the country.
“Our students deserve meals that are both nutritious and exciting, and Smart Mouth Pizza delivers just that,” said Anthony McDaniels, Child Nutrition Director. “We’re thrilled to bring this high‑quality option to both Buckhannon‑Upshur Middle and High School.”

This meal program is fully funded through federal child nutrition programs, ensuring that Smart Mouth Pizza is provided to students at no additional cost to families.
