Upshur County Schools look forward to welcoming our students back full-time on Monday, March 1st. All in-person learners will attend on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and dismiss at 2:00pm, until further notice.


Food Box Distribution will be held at all Upshur County Schools from 11:00am-1:00pm and at the Tennerton Warehouse from 9:00am-3:00pm today, February 24th. Three-day and five-day food boxes are available for children ages 18 and younger.

Upshur County Schools will participate in a remote learning day, today, February 18th, due to inclement weather. All staff and students will work remotely.

Upshur County Schools has been notified of a statewide issue with access to Captive Portal/Lightspeed. Technology specialists at the state department are working to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Upshur County students may experience difficulty accessing learning materials and apps on their devices. This is a reminder that today, February 12th, Upshur County Schools will have a two-hour delay to allow many of our school employees to receive their second COVID-19 vaccination in a timely manner. Thank you for your flexibility!

All Upshur County Schools are closed today, February 2, 2021, due to inclement weather. Staff and students will not report, and are encouraged to enjoy their first SNOW DAY of the school year! ☃️💙


All Upshur County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for Tuesday, February 2, 2021. All staff will report two hours later than their normal time. We will continue to evaluate road conditions throughout the night.

Upshur County Schools Continue with Blended and Remote Learning.
On January 19, 2021, Upshur County Schools will begin the second semester with the continuation of blended and remote learning. As we begin the second semester of teaching and learning, we want to express our appreciation to our families for their support and dedication to our students. We are prepared to continue with the business of teaching and learning and are moving forward with our expectations and positive mindset. The Upshur County Board of Education voted to move forward with Blended Learning, following the guidance from the West Virginia Board of Education. Cohort A, students with last names beginning with A-L, will attend in-person on Monday and Thursday, while Cohort B, students with last names beginning with M-Z, will attend on Tuesday and Friday.
