Students in Upshur County Schools who wish to transfer to virtual learning for the Spring 2026 semester must complete a Virtual Learning Request. The link can be found on our website (upshurschools.com) available on November 3rd. The sign-up window is open from November 3, 2025 through November 21, 2025.


📌 Important Notes:
- Students who are already enrolled in virtual learning do not need to complete a new form.
- Students who are currently virtual and wish to return to in-person learning should contact Mrs. Stacy Marteney directly no later than - November 21, 2025.
- Please ensure all requests are submitted within the designated timeframe.

As we continued to review and refine our estimated funds available for renovations to our existing facilities, we determined that we will not be able to fund our portion of the money necessary to renovate Buckhannon Academy to accommodate the students from Tennerton Elementary School, even if we were fortunate enough to obtain partial funding from the School Building Authority. As such, we will not be recommending the closure of Tennerton Elementary School at this time, and the hearings scheduled for November 17 are cancelled.
